This is not “Charmed”. You Aren’t Born A Witch…

how do we know if we are a witch?? i would like to know cause your the only one i can ask. and the website looks great. : )

You decide. It sounds overly simply, but people are not born witches.

Reality is not “Charmed” or the Salem Witch Trials or any of the silly movies that Hollywood likes to put out to make people think that you can be born a witch. Instead, modern withccraft, and indeed witchcraft over history, is a religion and a philosophy, not a bloodline.

Deciding to becoem a witch is like deciding to become a Catholic or a Baptist. It is a matter of determining if you believe in the core principals of Wicca and are willing to live by them. The difference is that Wicca doesn’t have Ten Commandments or a priest to confess to.

Wiccans, who are sometimes called witches, believe that the universe and nature give them power to better themselves. Their primary commandment is “Harm None”. Other than that, many of the exact belief systems vary from coven to coven, sort of like changing from church to church.

Now, to be fair, claiming to be a witch is much more simple than actually being a witch. Many people read a Book of Shadows or a book about witchcraft or Wicca and decide that makes them a witch. These are usually the people who give witchcraft a bad name.

It’s always a good idea to find a practicing Wiccan teacher and learn about the faith and practice of witchcraft from someone who actually does it. Seeing a Winter Solstice ritual preformed is a lot different than reading about it and knowing how to call the winds to purify an altar is different than just standing in a field and making up your own incantations.

Wicca is deeply personal and many solo practitioners do vary thier own spells and rituals from what other people or covens do, but claiming to be a withc without any training is like claiming to be a Christian without reading the Bible. It’s foolish and makes everyone look bad.

Instead, look at the website and learn what you can about Wicca and witchcraft. Read some books. Look for ones written by practicing withces and that specifically talk about the Harm None philosophy. Then, if you are still interested, find a practicing witch or even a coven that will let you come, first to observe and see if it’s right for you and then as a trainee.

Once you hav learned the basics, you can decide for yourself if you want to be a witch.

If you want to be a Witch, like a T.V programme ( charmed ) then become an actor! Wicca is a religion not a “wishlist” you have to learn your craft if you want an instant fix to you life then you will not get it with Wicca you learn your religion, learn the way, then you ask the Goddess and God,if you can’t be bothered to do this, then stick with your selfish ways! I would say blessed be but you don’t deserve it

I disagree with your view, a true witch is born a witch and knows this without doubt that this is part of who she is,u can learn the craft, and a born witch must also work hard, but she can never deny who or what she is ,it is easier to embrace!

WRONG! I WAS BORN A WITCH! I was told by three clarivoyants. and btw you don’t have to psychic abilities to be a born witch. You ma’am are very wrong. Blessed be…may karma not come back on you three fold
