Marry Meet, Rose-chan! I have a question. I’m new to Wicca, and I haven’t gotten into spells yet. But when I do, I want to be prepared if something goes wrong. What do I do? Merry Meet Meiko-chan, Welcome to the wonderful world of Wicca! I am glad to hear that you are planning to work on some spells soon. Good for you! There is nothing more powerful than to put your intentions to work for you. Although there are many ways to reverse previous spells, you need not worry too much about things going wrong. Be specific on your details and make sure that you write them down on paper and read them again to see if the result is what you desire. It is also good to sleep on it. The next day, you may feel like changing some of the wordings and maybe even create another one altogether. One serious issue here is if you cause any harm to others. Spells must always be positive and benevolent. Negative spells in which you may cause harm to others intentionally will certainly turn against you and cause you harm. However, if you add the words “and it may harm none” to your thoughts, chanting or visualization, your spell will never harm you or anyone else for that matter. If spells do something that you did not intend to do, just think through the situation and replace the thoughts and intentions. There is no harm in speaking in your language and making it clear to the Universe who/which is listening always. Think of the Universe as the genie who will help you. However, never forget that this genie is also powerful enough to harm you if you don’t follow the rules of the Universe. If you are still worried, you may do a protection spell. Of course, the more apologetic and eager you are, the easier it is for the Universe to forgive you. Think of the Universe as the Mother who is stern, but also teaches you the ways to live joyfully caring for others and preserving the environment while causing no harm to anything.
