Merry Meet Seeker, I have not seen the show “Charmed”, but I am sure it is good entertainment. Witches are people who use their minds to make things happen. Since we all have minds, we are all born witches. To be a practicing witch, we do need to work the craft many years with the intent of strengthening the mind and perfecting our focus on the goal. It takes many years for anyone to become an expert at the amazing art of witchcraft. If you are serious about witchcraft, you need to read a lot of good books about what it means, what the religion of Wicca is like, its traditions, its festivals, beliefs, Rules, etc are. Many people who see these TV shows think that we just wave a wand and things happen. It is certainly not like that. In fact, we don’t need a wand or a robe to become a good witch. To use magic, you have to learn meditation and ways to visualize your goals with a strong intention. The more powerful you are mentally, the better you will be at witchcraft. As for ingredients, we are very concerned about the environment and so we use natural substances like herbs, flowers, trees, leaves, water, sand, etc. You can be a witch without spending a penny. Over the centuries, many evil people have worked against witchcraft (and some even did it in the name of God!) and so it may be necessary to wait until you are twenty one or so to seriously live the witchcraft way of life. For people who are already enjoying the benefits of using our own will power to create their future, there is nothing better than practicing witchcraft.
