How lond does it take to become a wiccan/witch? ( I have just recently started and so far the first step is to study up, and i kno this can take a while.)

Merry Meet Seeker. Most of us are anxious to become the best in everything we do. However certain things like wine tend to mature and ripen only with time. A witch’s life is like that too. It is best to savor the joys and to take time to learn from our experiences. Also remember to look back at how far we have traveled in this journey called life. To become an expert at anything, we need to have the will to work hard at it. If someone is coercing us to do something, we rarely become skilled at it. We have to learn to enjoy the smallest aspect of any experience before we can master it. So the first thing you may need to do is to learn to relax and enjoy the journey. Do not worry about when you will reach the destination; for the journey through the magickal realm is in itself one of wonder and transformation. Like a butterfly emerging from its cocoon, you will need to take your time to boldly emerge from the shell of creativity into the beautiful world of magick where your thoughts create wonders of nature everyday. As we work on our first spells and rituals, we may have our doubts for we are still inside the cocoon, preparing to open up our minds. We are also learning how to meditate and bring our mind, emotion and spirit in line with each other; for then and then only will we be able to put forth our beautiful energy in all its magnificent glory. When you are able to easily raise this energy that is needed to create action, you will be an accomplished witch. For each person, animal or thing, the time to reach this stage varies. You may speed up this time by reading books by the experts in the field and by taking the time to meditate and work on rituals daily.
