Hi I am a teen and I have been doing research on the Wiccan religion for a year. My mom doesn’t believe in witches and all this so how do I be a Wiccan if my parents don’t know/won’t let me??? How do I cover it up? Thanks!
Merry Meet Seeker,
Yours is an age-old dilemma. Religion has become so distorted as the religious leaders put more pressure and scare tactics on their faithful following. Since no one has really “seen” the vengeful God that they talk about, it is even more dangerous to believe in a religion that takes away all our powers and requires us to depend on people who take money from us in the name of God.
Now you can see the dilemma for most good people in the world. People who are not bothered with treating others fairly do not care about religion or rules. Unforunately, the vast majority of good and kind people believe in the religious propaganda that enables only the few who actually receive monetary rewards as a result of it. As for the common person, religion is nothing but a game of “gimme” your time, attention and of course, money!
Our parents are mostly raised from old school propaganda that our spirits are not worth much. However, many of us who are keenly aware or our spiritual powers know that everyone can raise their own spirits to enable them to create whatever it is that they need out of life. As religion forbids the use or our own spirit, most people have no choice but to listen to their priests, padres and whatever.
When it comes to life, most of us who use our own brains (and not that of religious leader’s) know that God (Universe) loves each and every one of us the same. All of us, regardless of where or when we were born and what form we take (animal, human or other) have highly spiritual souls that can create with just a thought. As we hone our spiritual skills, we get more competent on creating things that we need.
Wicca teaches us to use our innage powers instead of giving it up to the religious war mongers. However, when you are a child and living in your parent’s home, it is best to read and learn more about the life you wish to lead as an adult. Try not to argue with your parents as their beliefs may be very distant from yours. Religion is a powerful weapon that has divided and destroyed many families and countries. So tread carefully and bide your time by learning more about what you wish to follow when you become an adult. Always love your parents and your family regardless of the direction they take. Hopefully, your parents will also learn to love you regardless of your religion that you prefer as an adult.
Brightest Blessings.
Rose.
I am in the same type of situation, except my parents don’t mind me using witchcraft as long as I don’t cast dangerous spells. Since my parents know nothing much of it, I have to learn myself through internet. No one is there to teach me, so I’m stuck with the web.
