Merry meet friend. It is wonderful to see that you would like to learn and practice witchcraft. Of course, you can learn all about magick without going to a wizard school. Here are some of the ways in which you can learn about witchcraft: 1. Buy a used or new copy of the book “Wicca: A guide for the Solitary Practitioner – by Scott Cunnigham. This book takes you through the meaning of magick and witchcraft as well as other interesting information that is necessary for a practitioner such as herbs, spells, celebrating festivals, etc.). This book also includes the author’s “Book of Shadows” which includes various rituals and recipes. 2. Search online ( http://www.google.com ) for “Occult books”. You may find a lot of similar books with explanations and other useful information for new witches. 3. Go to http://www.witchvox.com and search for other witchcraft groups in your town or city. These groups (called covens) will help initiate you to witchcraft and teach you a lot about this way of life. Also, you can attend the regular meetings in which groups of people celebrate festivals, dance and sing in outdoor spaces. Other ways to find people who can teach you the art and sciene of witchcraft include expositions, festivals and conferences where magickal people from all over the world gather to discuss and celebrate their way of life. A long time ago, when newer religions were created by people who wanted to have more control over populations, many myths were created by these controlling groups comprised mainly by men. Witchcraft was vilified and witches were feared. Many paintings were created with witches flying on brooms, etc. These pictures still intimidate people even hundreds of years after the event. Witches are real people and they do not fly on brooms. A typical witch’s broom is a wooden rod with some twigs, hay or leaves tied to the end of it. Witches use these brooms to repel and remove Evil (Negative energy) from their lives.
