The biggest area where people disagree is in trying to merge conflicting beliefs about the deity or deities in any religion. Modern Christians believe in one God or the Trinity which includes Almighty God, his son Jesus and the Holy Spirit. However, Wiccans believe in a duo theistic deity structure: a Goddess and a God. There are three aspects to the Goddess, which include: Maiden, Mother and Crone which represent: sexuality, fertility and wisdom.
Many Wiccans believe in a single ultimate deity which/who is unknowable. A common Wiccan saying is that “All Gods are the ONE GOD.” This deity is sometimes referred to as “The All” or “The One” and is often visualized as having two aspects: the male elements who is called the God and a female element who is called the Goddess. Christianity teaches the existence of a single God. But, most denominations teach that God has a different internal structure. The Christian God does not have two aspects. Their God is a Trinity, composed of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Trinity can be interpreted to disagree with the single God principle.
About the male aspect of deity: There were only four gospels and various letters that were accepted into the Christian Scriptures (New Testament). Those four tell of a unified Christian movement which regarded Jesus of Nazareth to be the Son of God and a deity. Other documents describe a divided Christian movement. They explain that, after Jesus was executed by the Roman Army, Jesus’ disciples organized a reformed. They regarded Jehovah, as described in the Old Testament, to be a single, indivisible God. They regarded Jesus as a human, and a great prophet-king. A Wiccan might consider these non-canonical gospels and writings to be accurate and adopt beliefs similar to those of the early Jewish Christian movement. Wiccans might associate Jesus with the male aspect of “The One.”
About the female aspect of deity: Some Wiccans and liberal Christians believe Jesus married Mary Magdalene. The marriage ritual at Cana described in the Gospel of John may have referred to their marriage. They honor Mary as the Goddess of Christianity — as representing the female aspect of “The One.” Others substitute or include:
Miriam, the mother of Jesus
Sophia, the Goddess of wisdom described in the Hebrew Scriptures as a separate, female personality
Mother Earth
Asherath, a Goddess worshiped by many ancient Hebrews.
So, Wicca and Christianity have varying ideas about a God, a Goddess, or any combination of these. Many people believe in a divine being and then choose to worship and believe in their own way. Does that make these people wrong?

I myself believe in God, but every church I ever went to it felt like something was missing and I didn’t quite agree with them about stuff. I also have always been interested in the wiccan belief since I was a kid, I find it beautiful (and not cuz of the magick)….I always ended up going back to reading up on it, but then would get discouraged because I do believe in God, but then I read this article online at wicca-spirituality.com about christianity and wicca and that article is what made up my mind. The part that stuck out most was that God wants us to worship him….no matter how. In my mind I think Wicca is wonderful way to worship God. Wicca is about nature, knowing yourself, and many other stuff and what better way to worship God then also acknowledging his work (nature) and learning to accept yourself also. A lot of wiccans might choose a certain god or goddess to worship, but instead I worship God. I acknowledge many things in both faiths and blend them together. Truthfully, I find both similar in many ways, and I don’t believe God is a cruel god like some churches say, and I think He would be happy with my choice…….
Also, how does anyone truly know God is a man…..yes, he is alwasy referred to as a He and Father, and what not, but in my opinion God is All…Just like how Wiccan’s believe. Not in the same sense of course, but think about it God is suppose to be Omega, Omnipotent, and whatever else. He is everything and created everything. So I do worship God as the god and goddess….I don’t change who I worship. Some people may say I’m stretching things and turning stuff into what I want to make what I do ok, but if you really think about it…it’s true what I said or have truth to it. I know what I do will never be accepted by both faiths, but it’s what I feel I should do. Heck if either faiths were to accept what I do…my bet is on Wiccans would accept it first. They seem more understanding to me.
All I have to say is…I really like your comment. I’ve been struggling with this question myself in my search for answers & you said it just as I’ve been feeling and thinking it. You’ve just confirmed what was already brewing in my subconcious. I couldn’t have said it better!
You can believe in God’s existence and practice Wicca in the same time (as an side effect you’ll propably change the way you perceive a God to Wicca’s way). But you can’t really BE a Christian and practice wicca, because all forms of magic are forbidden by the Bible and the Catholic Church, Orthodox Church and Protestantism (btw Torah and Quran too). You can try to blend Christianity with Wicca but the result won’t be Christian at all.
