I’d be lying if I said there was a specific set of spells that are absolute for everyone. I think that there are certain spells that are important to your development as a practitioner of magick. But ultimately, it is up to you to determine which spells are most important to you. It all depends on how you choose to practice your religion and what you are seeking to get out of it.

There have been times in my life where love magick has been the most important, and others when my practice has focused on bringing peace and healing into my life. Whenever you are in your life, there are spells to help you.

That being said, I feel that there are few spells that are good to know intuitively and use regularly. The first is a healing spell, which can work for emotional or physical healing. Secondly, I feel that everyone can use a good fetch spell, which will help bring you whatever you need (resources, money, etc). Communication spells are helpful to smooth over conversations and correspondence (which is especially helpful during Mercury retrograde periods). You’ll also need a protection spell in your magickal arsenal to guard yourself against negative forces.

Money spells and love spells are probably the most popular type of spells, and the ones that I get asked the most about. Money and love are two things that are hard to control (without magick that is!) so its no wonder that many people get drawn to the craft in attempt to control these two aspects of their lives. There are very powerful money and love spells, but to have the most power you’ll need a spell that you write yourself. If you wish to do any love or money magick, I’d highly recommend that you take some time to develop your own spell to have the most impact.
