Greetings Captive. You are right. Spell casting is best performed by the person who is in need of the results. Somehow people think that only by chanting or by buying a lot of items will our spells succeed. Nothing is far from the truth. Spells succeed because the person working the spell moved the energy of her/his thoughts in the direction of the creative powers and they guided it to form our version of reality. In essence, our thoughts create our future. What happens when another person creates your future? It could end up being very, very far from your idea of the same “future”. Let us say you would like a friend. If you ask someone else to find a friend for you, they could cast a spell and you end up with a puppy (who makes very good friendships anyway :)) or a parrot or a man. So which one did you envision? Maybe none of them, right? Internet is full of fly by the night sites that take our money and disappear forever. Most countries only prosecute if the website was registered in that country. If they are from another country, there is very little anyone can do to catch a culprit. On the other hand, we are the best spell workers for our dreams. Nothing works for us like sitting down at an altar (or by the beach or a mountain top) and imagining the energy around us working to create our dreams. All we need are the energies of the Earth and the intentions of our own minds. Believing that you are powerful is the number one requirement for magick.
