Hi. My parents are divorced and my dad is a christian. I really am interested in wicca but I don’t know how to break it to him… how do I do it? and another question… how do you become a witch? I don’t think I am a blood witch and I don’t know how to do it… please respond!
Merry Meet Seeker,
I am not sure how old you are but it is best to wait until you are 18 or older to change your religion. However, you have to learn a lot about Wicca before you tell anyone that you are interested in it. Most people will immediately ask you a many questions so that they can understand what Wicca is and why you are so interested in it. The three powerful religions of this millennium have influenced a lot of people through their warnings and prophecies of disaster unless all humans follow their way.
So there is a lot of pressure on humans to believe them and to follow the path of least resistance. However, some of us who think for ourselves and know that God is everywhere and within us know that we don’t even need a religion to live on this beautiful Earth.
You seem to be an enlightened child and smart enough to think about what is best for you. Of course, there may be some arguments or discussions on this subject while you learn it and also break the fact to your father. It is of course, best if you know and have practiced Wicca.
Everyone born on this Earth, including animals, are magickal and have varying levels of spirituality. These powers can be increased by learning about them and practicing them just as we become proficient in most arts or life. So your next “assignment” is to study Wicca by reading about it through books or through the internet. You may also find books in Libraries that can help you find your way through this beautiful way of life.
Always be caring, loving and respectful to your father and the rest of the family regardless of what they say about your decision to live the path of Wicca.
Brightest Blessings
Rose.
