How do you annoint a candle?

Merry Meet. A candle is a tool that creates fire and heat. It holds a very special energy that may be harnessed to create our intentions. Depending on the color of the candle, it may be used for different purposes. Green is the color or money and blue candles are used in healing rituals. Red or pink candles are used for romance and love while white is used for peace and harmony. The shape of the candle is also important. Sometimes we get human shaped or animal shaped candles or those with the shape of angels or deities. Before anointing, we can carve words, shapes, runes, etc. on the candle if we wish to. Candles are anointed to allow our personal energy to mix with the powers of the oil that we use to anoint the candle. The more energy that we can bring into a situation, the faster we will see it manifest in our realm. One more way to crease good, vibrating energy is to use herbal oils to anoint the candle. Anointing is a ritual that has its roots in Voodoo. Regardless of what nonsense that European invaders came up with, Voodoo is a wonderful, healing method that has been practiced in Africa, the Carribean countries and in America for hundreds of years. Regarding a candle as a voodoo doll, we massage our prayers and wishes on to the candle. In some traditions, the anointing is done from top to bottom and in others it is performed bottom to top. It may be better to anoint from the middle of the candle downwards and then repeat from the middle to the top of the candle, assuming that the candle is a person. While anointing with powerfully perfumed oils that are also chosen for particular needs, we pass on our intentions to the candle in a very powerful way. When the visualization and anointing is complete, the candle is lit. The fire energy of the candle is mixed in with the Earth energies, the incense (if used), the water (if present), the powerful herb energies as well as our intentions.
