My friend Athena and I watch Charmed. And we really believe in magick. And right now we are on a mission. But we cant use our powers, we don’t know how to get them to work. We understand that the powers of freezing time doesn’t work (like how Piper does) and we understand that we cant move things with our mind (like Prue) but I get visions sometimes. And the mission we are on is a really long story. So I won’t explain it. But we need to find out what power we have and how to use it. I think mind reading, premonitions and spells like truth spells and other spells would be really helpful for us throughout our mission. And I must tell you Athena and I are 10 and 11 (I’m 10 she’s 11) but we truly believe. Please tell me how we will be able to find out what power(s) we have and how to use them, when to use them and how to control them!! And if freezing time and movie things with your mind really are true than how can we make that work?

It is always wonderful to hear from young students of magick. I know it is very exciting to see movies and shows that use magick themes. However, they are very far-fetched and most people will be able to do those tricks. If you wish to know what magick is all about, it is best to start at the beginning. For starters, get the book Teen Witch: Wicca for a new generation by Silver RavenWolf. There are also other good wicca books online.
Reading these books will enable you to slowly understand what our spirit is capable of. These books have many examples on what teens can do and what they need to wait for. Handling flowers and leaves is easy, but when it comes to handling fire, smoke, hot cauldron, etc youngsters need to be very careful. Also there is the permission from parents to allow you to work on spells and rituals.
It is best to read a lot about Wicca before you try the harder and more dangerous spells which use fire. Even candles can become dangerous if they are not handled properly. So make sure that your parents know what is going on. If they forcefully ask you to not do this, respect their wishes and when you are an adult, you can decide on your own.
There is a lot of misunderstanding about Natural religions such as Wicca. The current powerful religions hate to see their flock dwindling and so they have made up a lot of scary reasons that may keep a lot of good people away from the wonderful, natural and free religion which does not collect money from others or scare anyone with their teachings,.
