Dear Rose, I’m a 20 year old female and I feel as if a bad curse has been put on me affecting me in many ways: financially (hard for me to be independent and make my own money even as a fourth month licensed nail technician its hard for me to make a decent income), academically ( I’m a sophomore in college and rarely progressed in any school), socially (I’m constantly arguing with family and I don’t really have any friends nor never had a boyfriend), spiritually (it is hard for me to find inner peace and I don’t have a religon to follow), and strangley, appearance wise- growing up I was always called ugly by most and its rare that anyone of the opposite sex finds me attractive or appealing. The past few years of my life (late teens) which are very important have been hard, and I did not experience much due to those issues. I still have a chance to grow. If I am cursed in these many aspects of life how can I remove it?

Life can be very difficult at times. However, all of the trials and tribulations that you have gone through these past years will enable you to become a stronger, braver and wiser individual. Although you remember the difficult times, I can assure you that happy times are ahead. However, there are a few things you need to take care of before the Universe can bring you the gifts you deserve.
Your thoughts need to be completely positive for good things to happen. Imagine these good tidings waiting by the door of your home. They cannot come in because of the negativity in the area surrounding you and your home. So we have to find ways to remove that negativity and enable you to receive what you deserve. Let us consider your situation in a different and more positive way:
1. You are an adult and can make any decision regarding your life. No one can coerce you into doing something that you do not approve. You are your own guardian angel and you can easily make decisions regarding your life.
2. You are a licensed nail technician and working as a nail technician at your age. It is wonderful to have a job when so many families are struggling and hoping for a handout from strangers.
3. You are in college! WOW, that is wonderful because it means that you have an even more enjoyable and richer future ahead of you! Read up online on how to study wisely (not hard) and how to ask teachers for help, etc. Do everything in your power to advance in College for that is where your future resides.
4. In colleges, you can find counselors and other teachers who are willing to look up your grades and help you make the necessary changes to get ahead.
5. Almost everyone I know have been taunted and teased as children for our appearance, conversation or our conduct. In life, we will be treated well by some people and treated badly by others. It has nothing to do with who we are. Taking only the good complements in or accepting only the bad remarks will not help us in any way. So try to ignore other people’s comments and learn you see yourself as a smart, intelligent, hardworking young lady!
6. Allegiance to any religion is like a chain tied to our legs. We find ourself confined, scared, threatened and discriminated against. In this world, you are free as a bird, with no rules and restrictions to bind you blind like most of the major religions do. However, if you follow a path in life that allows you to respect the envirnoment, love everyone including the birds, bees and everything else that constitutes our Universe, you are free of spirit indeed!
Can you see the difference now? Its all in our attitude. You are not cursed at all. Your attitude needs to change. When you start to thank the Universe for all that have (see the 6 points above), you will realize how much you already have and how far you can go in the future with who you are.
Always be thankful for whatever you have. Then and only then, more will come to you.
