Bet him a pint of ice crea and then show him that you win the bet. Real witches and wizards sometimes apprentice with the local coven and there are some small witch school out there, but they are mostly like mine, one on one instruction or teaching through the internet.
There is no place, that I know of, where a witch can go to high school and learn defense against the dark arts and how to make potions. I’m afraid your cousin may be a little confused about what real witches do. We do not fly around on broomsticks, play quidditch or turn people into toads
Real witches do cast spells, but most do not use a wand and they don’t wear robes and play with imaginary creatures like hippogriffs and dragons. As fun as it might be, there is no secret society of witces, no minister of magic and no great conspiracy to keep it all from the muggles.
Real witchcraft has a fun history that is worth reading about and learning about. Real witches were the doctors and wise women in many places before there was modern medicine. they helped people find the roots that would make soap and the bark that could cure a headache.
A real witch studies nature and religion and gets her magic ability from the Goddess or whomever she worships, not because of who her parents were.
I do have a answer to the question that two young ladies posted is there a real school like Hogwarts.
There is a school on the Internet and does deal with Wizards and Witches…
It is called the Grey School and Oberon Ravenheart does run it and he has an apprentice books or now two books out that he does teach from it..

Uh!!! You’re speciall and sweet in the way you handle all this freaking stuff about witches, harry potter, but why is it that every movie now has a little or major role of witch or wizard? Dont you think it has a connectivity with the reality stuff of some real wizard school? Or the underworld?
Yes there is a school like hogwartz, mine, however we do real magic(k) “magehood” and its a private art..by invite only… “grey school to my knowledge isn’t a school but a design of shamanism and neo wiccan methods”…..
come and see what few schools teach and even fewer schoolings know…
witchcraft isn’t wizardry, they serve the similar models but one is female the other is mage,…Wizardry or DRYL is the art of studying the missing hidden factors in all the other arts to bring them all together to work better, like a old tv remade by still having the same remote… (today’s modern ideals, have little to do with wizardry, and tend to fall into spiritual study and religionist nature such as druid and shamanism now…) The magickal arts are not for young ones sorry, its for the developing and advancing minds ahead…

Hey! As far as I know, there is no witchcraft. I do admit it was a long time ago, but it’s nit seen anymore, and to me, seeing is believing! Not offending anyone, I wish I could do magic too. Would be very helpful in saving world from these terrible times. Magic is great and so is Hogwarts! I’d do anything to be in a school EXACTLY like that!

There is no proof that Hogwarts exists nor that it does not exist. I believe it is possible. After all, us Muggles aren’t MEANT to know, are we? And those witch rumours rings from long ago had to come from somewhere.
There are times where I stay up all night think about this. There might as well be a school made for gifted people, we never know. If there is a school like Hogwart I would love to be apart of it.
Some of us may be gifted and not know. I myself had spent a few years wondering this, and trust me I lost everything. I lost friends; grades, and my parents. It was like a depresstion stage for me. I spent years waiting for that letter as well.
Even now I still think about it. I had little wonder before the books came out, and when they did it bosted the wonder to many hights.

yes there actually are places or schools if you will to learn the craft of the wise. Coven swill teach you also. Or you can read and study from books written by practicing witch’s. There is actually a lot of knowledge available because of the internet. If you are just starting out lokk for Silver raven fox’s ultimate book of shadows. This will get you started. It has a lot of in depth information along with history to go with it. But you must be willing to study and most of all you must BELIEVE.
real witches and wizards do NOT need rituals and gods have nothing to do with humans with these abilities we call ”magic”.
all i can tell you is that harry potter books have a lot of real stuff in them… a LOT.
