I am really new to this and i really don’t how to begin. I guess i seek guidance in this new path as well as knowledge on wherwe to get my supplies and more knowledge of what this path can bring.
Hello there dear, Well, since you are new to the faith, then let me be the first to welcome you… and well, hopefully I can offer a bit of useful advice for you…. Being a witch is about a lot more than simply casting spells. It is much like any other system of beliefs in that the trappings and rituals are only small portions of the overall whole. And thus, much like taking the Eucharist does not make you a Catholic, intoning a spell does not make you a witch…. So, if you think you might be interested in one of the many belief systems associated with being a witch (I personally am a wiccan) then I would suggest rather than trying to jump straight into the ritual, you take the time to do a bit of research and learn a bit about the dogma of the beliefs…. Perhaps look for a bookstore in your local town that caters to such things and go and speak to the people there about their experiences and how they went about finding their faith…. I would recommend the books of Silver RavenWolf. She is published by Llewellyn and her books are generally written in a very friendly, accessible manner that serves to explain the various facets of the religion in very digestible terms and concepts. This is not to say that her works are not well thought out or informative either… just that they are written in such a way that most beginners can easily engage with the material. I would very strongly suggest, “To Ride a Silver Broomstick” to anyone who is looking to find out more about what it means to really be a witch….
