I found a black cats head buried under some dirt and bark in my front yard, and I was wondering what does that mean, and what should I do about it? Should I worry if it’s witchcraft, or just another animal’s food?

It is very unlikely that you would find just the head of the cat if it were soemthing another animal was eating.  Cats don’t have a lot of natural predators and the ones that they have, would likely leave bones, paws, etc.

If you have not already done so, I would contact the local authorities about your discovery. Most likely, it was someone who does not understand the craft attempting to scare you ro do you harm. And, if they intended you harm, it’s worth talking to the police, especially since they went to the trouble to injure/kill an animal. Many people who are deeply troubled and end up hurting toehrs begin by hurting animals.

It is very difficult for  a person to put a spell on you that causes you harm, but much easier for them to do harm to you in a new-fashioned way–gun, knife, etc. Letting the police know that you have been subjected to this form of harrassment  can help them protect you. You should also be certain to lock the doors whenever you leave the house, leave a light on if you are returning at night and simply be more observant of your surroundings. If something feels wrong, it’s better to call a friend to enter the house with you than to take a risk.

Since it does not sound as though you are a practicing Wiccan, for your further protection, I would suggest talking to someone you trust who is Wiccan and ask ing them to help you put a protective spell around your house. If nothing else, this will help ease your mind and erase whatever foul intentions that the other person had tried to use agaisnt you.
