What kinds of spells are the ones that usually work best?

There are a lot of spells out there to choose from. With hundreds of books and
thousands of websites dedicated to spellcraft at your fingertips (not to mention
those of you who have taken the time to create your own spells) the choices can
be mind boggling. Im guessing you are looking for something that is guaranteed
to work, and will bring you exactly what you want. I have some good news and some
bad news for you. The good news is there are lots of spells that will work. And
the bad news isthere are lots of spells that wont work. But another
bit of good news is that you are the factor that makes the difference.

There are many things that will make a spell work or not work. There is definitely
much to be said for using the right equipment. Your tools should be consecrated
and you should use the right tool for the right job. You should also gather
all of the necessary supplies such as herbs, candles, oil etc.

But these things wont work without your intention, your heart and your
belief in the process. Time and time again Ive told people that its not
the spell that makes the magick, its the witch. Your input and focus
into the spell will make all of the difference in the world. I once did a green
candle job spell with a neon green post-it cut out in the shape of a candle.
When the spell called to light the candle, I placed a flame shaped yellow piece
of paper on top. I got the job because of my intent, even though I wasnt
using the proper tools.

Ive heard a lot of people say that random spells from the internet and
from untested sources wont work as well as those from ancient books that
have been passed down with rhyming words and ingredients like eye of
newt and so forth. Again, the difference is in the intent and focus.
If you believe that spells written in modern times wont work, they wont.
